Dayal Padmanabhan’s first movie was OK saar OK as a director and his big project was Circus movie starring Golden star Ganesh. He has also acted in Gaalipata where he played a silent character as Dracula. The current project as a director is Toss which is scheduled to be released. His movie Gharshane is a thriller movie and it is a remake of Tamil movie Yuttham Sei. Malashri was the lead role in this movie.

He is the producer of Circus and Sriharikadhe movies under his own production company. Om Ganesh movie was his first-ever movie as a writer that the movie was released in the year 2000. He has written dialogue and as well as the screenplay for all his movies and he was nominated by the Times of India Film Awards for the best screenplay Kannada movies 2011.
